1.
Application Procedure
   
1.1
The Personnel Office of the Tertiary Institution with reciprocal Library membership arrangement with NYP, shall issue a letter of introduction stating the designation of the applicant. This letter must be submitted with the prescribed application form.
   
1.2
Each application will be charged a non-refundable registration fee of S$32.10 (inclusive of GST).
   
1.3
Applications for membership are to be made on the prescribed form and must be correct and complete.
   
1.4
Please complete the application form and return it to the address below together with:-

  • supporting documents (as above)

  • one coloured passport-size photograph.

  • a crossed cheque for the amount of S$32.10 (inclusive of GST) made payable to
    NANYANG POLYTECHNIC. Please write your name, organization's name, NRIC and
    the words "Library Membership" on the back of the cheque.
   
1.5
Payment can be via AXS or made personally at the Information Services Counter using NETS or CashCard.
   
1.6
The Polytechnic reserves the right to approve or reject the application and will not disclose the reason for any rejection.

2.
Membership Renewal
   
2.1
Applications for renewal must be:
 
  • made on the prescribed form
  • accompanied with a letter from the Organization's Personnel Office
    stating current designation
   
2.2
Applications for renewal must be received not later than 30 days from the expiry date, and all renewals will take effect from the next day following the expiry date.
   
2.3
After the 30 days, any applications for renewal will be treated as a new application and a registration fee of S$32.10 (inclusive of GST) will be charged.

Subscription Fee
   
3.1
Tertiary members are exempted from the annual subscription fee.
   
3.2
Registration fees paid are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-convertible if membership is cancelled or withdrawn for whatever reason.
   
3.3
Members are required to pay an administrative cost of S$32.10 (inclusive of GST) for card replacement, e.g. lost, damaged, etc.

Membership Status
   
4.1
Membership is valid for 12 months from the date of registration.
   
4.2
Membership cards are not transferable.
   
4.3
The Polytechnic reserves the right to withdraw or cancel membership or any membership privileges without any obligation to give reasons.
   
4.4

Members must inform the Library immediately of any change in personal particulars.

   
4.5
All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application.
   
4.6
Membership will cease when applicant is no longer in the employment of the approved Institution.
