1.
Application Procedure
   
1.1
Applications for membership are to be made on the prescribed form and must be correct and complete.
   
1.2
Please complete the application form and return it to the address below together with:-
   
 
  User Services
(External Membership)

  • one coloured passport-size photograph.

  • a crossed cheque for the amount of S$85.60 (inclusive of GST) made payable to
    NANYANG POLYTECHNIC. Please write your name, Association's name, NRIC and
    the words "Library Membership" on the back of the cheque.

   
1.3
Payment by NETS or CashCard may be made personally at the Information Services Counter, Level 4, Library.
   
1.4
The Polytechnic reserves the right to approve or reject the application and will not disclose the reason for any rejection.
   
2.
Membership Privileges
 
 
2.1
Members may enjoy the following privileges:
 
  • access to printed resources such as books and journals
  • access to photocopying facilities in the Library
   
2.2
The following services are NOT available to Reading Access members :
 
  • loan of all Library materials
  • access to media resources such as CD-ROM and online databases.
  • booking of PCs and other Library facilities

3.
Membership Renewal
   
3.1
Applications for renewal must be:
 
  • made on the prescribed form plus payment of S$53.50 (inclusive of GST)
  • accompanied by documentary proof of their membership validity with the Association.
   
3.2
Applications for membership renewal must be received not later than 30 days from the expiry date, and all renewals will take effect from the next day following the expiry date.
   
3.3
After the 30 days, any applications for renewal will be treated as a new application and a registration fee of S$32.10 (inclusive of GST) will be charged.

Subscription Fee
   
4.1
Membership is by subscription. The annual subscription fee is S$53.50 (inclusive of GST). Each application will be charged a registration fee of S$32.10 (inclusive of GST).
   
4.2
Membership and registration fees paid are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-convertible if membership is cancelled or withdrawn for whatever reason.
   
4.3
Members are required to pay an administrative cost of S$32.10 (inclusive of GST) for card replacement, e.g. lost, damaged, etc.

Membership Status
   
5.1
Membership is valid for 12 months from the date of registration.
   
5.2
Membership cards are not transferable.
   
5.3
The Polytechnic reserves the right to withdraw or cancel membership or any membership privileges without any obligation to give reasons.
   
5.4

Members must inform the Library immediately of any change in personal particulars.

   
5.5
All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application.
   
5.6
Members are required to inform the Library upon expiry of their Association membership.
