1.
Application Procedure
   
1.1
Applications from persons enrolled in distance learning programmes must be accompanied by documentary proof of study.
   
1.2
Applications from professionals who are engaged in research-related projects must be submitted with a letter from the Organizations' Personnel Office stating designation.
   
1.3
Applications for membership are to be made on the prescribed form and must be correct and complete.
   
1.4
Please complete the application form and return it to the address below together with:-

  • supporting documents (as above)

  • one coloured passport-size photograph.

  • a crossed cheque for the amount of S$246.10 (inclusive of GST) made payable to
    NANYANG POLYTECHNIC. Please write your name, institution/organization's name,
    NRIC and the words "Library Membership" on the back of the cheque.

   
1.5
Payment can be via AXS or made personally at the Information Services Counter using NETS or CashCard.
   
1.6
The Polytechnic reserves the right to approve or reject the application and will not disclose the reason for any rejection.

Membership Renewal
   
2.1
Applications for renewal must be:
 
  • made on the prescribed form plus payment of S$214.00 (inclusive of GST)
  • accompanied by documentary proof of study or certification of employment
   
2.2
Applications for renewal must be received not later than 30 days from the expiry date, and all renewals will take effect from the next day following the expiry date.
   
2.3
After the 30 days, any applications for renewal will be treated as a new application and a registration fee of S$32.10 (inclusive of GST) will be charged.

Subscription Fee
   
3.1
Membership is by subscription. The annual subscription fee is S$214.00 (inclusive of GST). Each application will be charged a registration fee of S$32.10 (inclusive of GST).
   
3.2
Membership and registration fees paid are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-convertible if membership is cancelled or withdrawn for whatever reason.
   
3.3
Members are required to pay an administrative cost of S$32.10 (inclusive of GST) for card replacement, e.g. lost, damaged, etc.

Membership Status
   
4.1
Membership is valid for 12 months from the date of registration.
   
4.2
Membership cards are not transferable.
   
4.3
The Polytechnic reserves the right to withdraw or cancel membership or any membership privileges without any obligation to give reasons.
   
4.4

Members must inform the Library immediately of any change in personal particulars.

   
4.5
All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application.
